Welcome
to treetops records. You find yourself here at its birth and sapling
state. In time we hope that this space will embrace a cornucopia of
gentle folk sounds, subtle electronic tweaks, and songs to sing the
birds from the trees. After a wonderful day at the maverick festival, where they took part in the songwriting competition hollyann & the katie winter found themselves once again in the tranquil confines of the mill studio at Winfarthing. Guided by Dave Pye, who is currently engineering the next Dido album, they recorded three tracks which hopefully be released in early autumn. The songs recorded were: The Day I Met The King, Her Fine Bones, Each Day Is A Song. All in all it was a wonderfully productive weekend, filled with good music both being made and being heard. An impromptu live track on BBC Radio Suffolk, was a very happy unexpected bonus. |
